people likely associate Kyudo primarily with bamboo bows.

These bows are made by laminating fiberglass onto a carefully selected multi-layered wooden core. Made of durable materials that resist deformation, these bows are recommended for beginners.

One-of-a-kind Bows crafted by artisans
Using only carefully selected 3 to 4-year-old natural bamboo, bow craftsmen meticulously handcraft each bow individually. Each piece of bamboo has its own character, and craftsmen skillfully incorporate these unique qualities into the bow. Like traditional crafts, no two bows are exactly alike.
Embodying the spirituality and aesthetic sensibility of Kyudo
Originally, Kyudo was not a competition to hit targets but was developed as spiritual training aimed at pursuing "Truth, Goodness, and Beauty." The traditional bamboo bow is most suited to embodying the philosophy of Kyudo.

Bamboo Bows are extremely delicate
Natural bamboo is very delicate and vulnerable to shipping impacts and changes in temperature and humidity, which can cause cracks and splits. Therefore, international shipping carries a high risk, and we may not be able to safely deliver precious bamboo bows to you.
