Hogetsu is Asahi Kyugu's original premium glove.
Made from carefully selected, fully smoked chibi-kodara deerskin.
The smoked leather offers excellent water repellency and durability, making it a lifetime kake that will become one of your most irreplaceable tools.
Pre-shaped for the archer's convenience (with the middle finger naturally positioned over the thumb), it uses thicker leather for the middle finger section that bears more stress, and softer leather for the index finger for better flexibility.
The support section is sufficiently firm to allow easy drawing of strong bows, and will remain hard for years without softening, enabling effortless bow drawing without strain. The fine stitching with silk thread prevents shape deformation and thread fraying.
The most concerning parts of a kake - the twisted leather section and the boundary with the index finger - remain smooth and straight without protruding, preventing arrow or nock slippage. How to order a KAKE (glove)

Scan Instructions

We determine the appropriate kake (archery glove) size based on a copy of the customer’s hand shape, using actual hand dimensions and reference measurement charts.

The most recommended method is to scan your right hand using a color scanner.

When scanning your hand, please follow these instructions carefully:

  • Place a ruler on the left side of your right hand for scale
  • Keep your right hand relaxed and slightly open, including about 5 cm below the wrist in the scan
  • Do not press your hand too firmly against the scanner
  • Avoid spreading your fingers too widely, especially the thumb
  • Ensure the outline of your hand is clearly visible and avoid any shadows
  • To reduce glare and shadows, it’s best to cover your hand with a white cloth during scanning to block light
Measurement Points

To help us determine the best-fitting kake (archery glove) for you, please refer to the diagram and measure the circumference around each finger joint and your wrist using a measuring tape. Based on your measured sizes, please select the appropriate values from the dropdown menus in the form.
